His name was Prince, and he was funky. At some point, my thirst for new Prince recordings could no longer be slaked with B-sides, remixes and rarities, and I went down the rabbit hole of other artists covering Prince.
While there is a near infinite supply of pedestrian and disastrous Prince covers in the world, there are also incredible gems to be found. I collected 2.5 hours of the best on these CDs in 2007.
The ornate packaging draws on my Medieval Studies background, while all sassy quotations come directly from His Royal Badness himself.
